Covid-19 exposing inequalities; world at ‘breaking point’: UN chief

The U.N. secretary-general designed a sweeping connect with Saturday to conclude global inequalities that sparked this year’s large anti-racism protests and have been further exposed by the coronavirus pandemic, warning the entire world was at “breaking place”.

“Covid-19 has been likened to an X-ray, revealing fractures in the fragile skeleton of the societies we have developed,” Antonio Guterres explained as he shipped the Nelson Mandela Yearly Lecture.

“It is exposing fallacies and falsehoods everywhere: The lie that absolutely free markets can provide health and fitness care for all, the fiction that unpaid care function is not function, the delusion that we are living in a post-racist entire world, the fantasy that we are all in the similar boat.”

He explained produced nations around the world are strongly invested in their own survival and have failed to provide the support desired to assist the producing entire world via these unsafe moments.
