Iraq Base Housing American Troops Hit by New Strike, Sustaining Tensions

BAGHDAD—Rockets struck an Iraqi foundation housing American troops on Saturday, reducing any expectations of de-escalation following U.S. strikes on an Iran-backed militia in response to the killing of two of its troops at the very same foundation this week.

At least 25 rockets fell on Camp Taji early Saturday, wounding 3 U.S. company members, two of them critically, U.S. officers claimed. Two members of the Iraqi air power command ended up also gravely wounded in the strike, an Iraqi military spokesman claimed.
